Men-Tsee-Khang Bylakuppe branch celebrated its centenary ceremony at 10 o’clock, on Friday, 25th March, 2016 at Tibetan Dickyi Larsoe (TDL) community hall.

Kasur Tsering Phuntsok was the chief guest and Mr. Karma Dadul, South Zone Chief Representative Officer cum Chief settlement officer of Luksam Samdupling Settlement as the special guest. Chief settlement officer of TDL, Chairman and secretary of Co-operative Society of Luksam and TDL were also present as guests.

The function started with lightening of the butter lamp by the chief guest followed by a minute of silence to honour the bravery and sacrifice of our martyrs and to share the grief of their loss. After that, Khatak (auspicious white scarf) offering before the portrait of H.H the Dalai Lama by the guests followed by the chanting of Yutok Soldhep by the Staff of men-Tsee-Khang. Tea and butter rice were served to the gathering.

Thereafter, annual report of Bylakupee branch clinic was presented by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Passang Dhondup and Dr Ngawang Lodoe of Sera Branch clinic.

An old patient of Byalkuppe clinic and an old monk patient of Sera clinic who has been receiving free medication shared their experiences and thanked Men-Tsee-Khang for its great charitable services for the poor and elderly people.

The chief guest and special guest also, in their speeches appreciated the great work of Men-Tsee-Khang and emphasized the importance of maintaining its high standards as outlined by H.H the Dalai Lama from time to time.
