Men-Tsee-Khang Culture Center Ladakh celebrated the centenary function on 23 March, 2016 at Men-Tsee-Khang Building, Leh.  Mr. P.T. Kunzang, vice president of LBA (Ladakh Buddhist Association) graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The Chief Guest said that Sowa Rigpa has played an important role in curing disease and providing health care in the remote villages of Ladakh.  So it is our duty to preserve the traditional system of Tibetan medicine (Sowa Rigpa) around Ladakh region with the collaboration with Men-Tsee-Khang, Amchi association and research institute. Dr. Thinlay Namgyal spoke in brief about the introduction to Tibetan medicine and effectiveness in various ailments. 

Amchi Padma Gurmet, Dr. Kelsang Tsomo, Mr. Jinpa Dorjee, Administrative Director and Dhondup Gyalpo from the Chief Representative Office, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement and the public were also present. 

Tea and snacks were served to the dignitaries and audience.  The function was telecast in Leh Doordarshan and co-operative local cable television and published in Reach Ladakh Bulletin.
