Centennial celebration, Shimla.

Men-Tsee-Khang branch clinic in Shimla celebrated 101 Anniversary of Men-Tsee-Khang on 23rd March 2017 at Thupten Dorjeedrak Gonpa (Monastery), Shimla. The programme started with a welcome speech to all the honorable guests and audiences by Mrs Samten. After that, Lightening of butter lamp to the portrait of H. H. the Dalai Lama by the Chief Guest Mr. Tenzin, Shimla Local Conference Chairman and Mr. Tenzin Norbu, Shimla Tibetan Settlement Officer followed by the recitation of Medicine prayer. Two minute silence was observed for the Martyrs who had sacrificed their life for the cause of Tibet. Sweet rice and ceremonial tea were served to the audience.
An Introductory speech was given by Dr. Jampa Wangmo along with the annual report of Shimla branch clinic. Then Dr. Jampa Wangmo presented health talk on the topic Diabetes and pamphlets were distributed to the attendees. Herbal products were also displayed. Ama Sither Dolma, who is a charity patient, voluntarily shared her experiences on the benefits of Tibetan Medicine for her ailments and expressed her gratitude towards Men-Tsee-Khang.  
The Chief Guests Mr. Tenzin and Mr. Tenzin Norbu addressed the gathering on the occasion. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs. Tenzin Losel, thanking all the guests and the audiences who came to attend the Men-Tsee-Khang functions and specially Thupten Dorjeedrak Gonpa (Monastery) for providing their teaching hall free of charge.
Dr. Jampa Wangmo conducted free blood check up for the public which was the highlight of the programme. More than 45 people attended the programme.
