Men-Tsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical & Astro. Institute) has organized the examination for Menrampa Dringwa degree for the doctors.  A medical student graduates after six years as a Tibetan doctor holding Kachupa Degree.  After ten years of practice, the doctors are allowed to sit for Menrampa Chungwa degree and then with another seven years gap, they can appear for the Menrampa Dringwa Degree.  This is the third group of doctors appearing for the Menrampa Dringwa Degree and there are nine candidates in all. 

The candidates were given one month preparation period for the final examination which started from 3 October, 2011. Dr. Pema Dorjee, advisor; Dr. Tenpa Choephel, principal, Tibetan Medical & Astro. College; Dr. Tseirng Norbu, head of Materia Medica Department and Lopon Gyatso la from Institute of Buddhist Dialectics are the four resource persons.  The examination will be held from 2-5 November, 2011 for four days. The candidates have to appear for four written exams and practical identification of materia medica.
