INAUGURATION OF THERAPY CENTER (Mcleod Ganj)
Men-Tsee-Khang Therapy Center was inaugurated on 22 July, 2013 at Mcleod Ganj branch clinic. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Tsering Wangchuk, Health Kalon, CTA. He congratulated Men-Tsee-Khang for setting up the new therapy center, wished success to benefit suffering people through therapy techniques of Tibetan medicine.
This is the first time that Men-Tsee-Khang has trained and given courses in Therapy techniques according to traditional Tibetan system of health care. "Jam Ched' is an integral part of Tibetan medicine. It is a unique system of mild, external body therapies used for the treatment of a variety of specific illnesses, as well as improving general health, wellbeing and wellness.
The first batch of eight therapists successfully completed the six months course and was given certificates of merit during the function.
Men-Tsee-Khang had opened a therapy center in Dec, 2009 to aid ailing patients for better health care by using external therapies.
The therapy centers will be involved in reviving and preserving the external body therapies according to the Tibetan medical system practiced for thousands of years in Tibet.
