This seminar aims to introduce medieval astronomy and astrology through a cursory reading of original sources that will be contextualized, explained, and commented on during the sessions. Each session will be divided into two parts: the first will be devoted to a presentation by the researcher on his/her current research related to the history of the astral sciences in a broad approach (art history, book history, textual history, and history of practices); the second part will include an introduction to astronomical and astrological medieval theories and concepts through the reading of selected sources that will be shown and commented on during the session.
